4. Remove two camshafts.

5. Remove ITG Bearing Cap Lower.

6. To dislocate cylinder head, use a soft mallet

or dead-blow hammer to break the head free

from the block, if necessary.

7. Place the cylinder head on the dismantling

table.

Assemblies

NOTE

To avoid damage to valve tips, do not

rotate the camshaft.

1. Remove the RFF along with Hydraulic Lash

Adjuster from the cylinder head as shown in

below figure.

2. Using Special Tool, to compress and remove

the valve spring lock halves.

3. Remove the valve spring retainer.

CAUTION

When removing the camshaft, use care to

avoid damaging the bearing surfaces of

the cylinder head and the camshaft.
