P1120

Pedal sensor

track 1_supply.

No critical effect.

Accelerator Pedal sensor

track 1_supply fault.

1. Check for Reference

voltage 1 fault or If P0120 is

present.

2. Check sensor connections

for rust dirt etc.

3. Check Intermediate

connector.

4. Visually check sensor.

5. Check Electrical continuity.

6. Check ECU.

1. Follow Reference voltage 1 check and

rectification Procedure.

2. Clean the sensor connections and ensure proper

fitment.

3. Remove Intermediate connector between EMS

harness and vehicle wiring harness check for

terminal back out. Do necessary repairs reconnect

and check the fault.

4. Replace sensor if damaged.

5. Follow Electrical continuity check procedure.

Replace/ Rectify Harness if required.

6. Replace ECU; if problem still persists.

P1121

Pedal sensor

fault.

Restricted fly up.

Accelerator Pedal sensor

fault (triggers reduced

torque mode).

1. Check for pedal related

faults (like P1120; P1123;

P1220; P1223 etc.).

1. Follow rectification process for the pedal faults

present.

N

101

P1123

Pedal sensor

fault (correlation

between track 1

and 2).

H

1. Reduced torque mode is activated.

2. EGR is disabled

3. This DTC will also cause P1121 to get

registered.

1. This DTC gets logged if

the difference between

Pedal Track -1 and Pedal

Track - 2; exceed the

threshold.

2. This fault will come

because of P0122; P0123;

P0120; P0222; P0223;

Check faults P0120; P0122;

P0123; P0222; P0223.

1. Check faults P0120; P0122; P0123; P0222;

P0223; if noticed Rectify the concerned faults.

2. Check Electrical continuity between ECU to

pedal connector as per circuit schematic; Follow

Electrical continuity check procedure. Replace/

Rect

3. After rectification ensure the following checks

before handing over the vehicle to customer.

a) When pedal is not pressed - Pedal position in

tata diagnostic tool should be close to 0%.

b) When the pedal is fully pressed- Pedal position

in tata diagnostic tool should be close to 100%.

P1171

Minimum Drive

Pulse too short

(Cylinder 1).

M

1. Engine may have abnormal noise and

vibrations.

2. Disables Pilot Injection.

3. Check for cylinder 1 Injector.

4. MIL is OFF.

5. Injector learning strategy is deactivated;

MDP Updating is deactivated.

This DTC gets logged if the

Cylinder 1 Injector

correction values are less

than the minimum value.

1. Check whether I2C values

are entered in ECU.

2. Check whether I2C

entered in ECU matches with

sticker on injectors.

1. Check whether I3C values (20 digit alpha

numeric number printed on the injector) are entered

in ECU; if not enter I3C values correctly and Erase

the fault.

2. Check whether I3C entered in ECU matches with

sticker on injectors; if problem persists replace

injectors; enter I3C values and erase faults.

3. If problem still persists replace ECU.

Minimum Drive

Pulse too short

(Cylinder 2).

M

1. Engine may have abnormal noise and

vibrations.

2. Disables Pilot Injection.

3. Check for cylinder 2 Injector.

4. MIL is OFF.

5. Injector learning strategy is deactivated;

MDP Updating is deactivated.

This DTC gets logged if the

Cylinder 2 Injector

correction values are less

than the minimum value.

1. Check whether I2C values

are entered in ECU.

2. Check whether I2C

entered in ECU matches with

sticker on injectors.

1. Check whether I3C values (20 digit alpha

numeric number printed on the injector) are entered

in ECU; if not enter I3C values correctly and Erase

the fault.

2. Check whether I3C entered in ECU matches with

sticker on injectors; if problem persists replace

injectors; enter I3C values and erase faults.

3. If problem still persists replace ECU.
