Atmospheric

Pressure sensor

supply – Vext.

No critical effect.

Atmospheric Pressure

sensor supply - reference

voltage fault.

1. Check wiring harness.

2. Check atmospheric

pressure value and compare

with the actual pressure at

the location.

1. Rectify wiring harness.

2. Replace the ECU.

Atmospheric

pressure signal

– generic.

L

1. Probable loss of power and black smoke

2. EGR Is Disabled

3. MIL is OFF.

This DTC Atmospheric

pressure sensor - generic

gets logged due to faults

raised on atmospheric

sensor (e.g. SC; OC;

gradient faults etc.).

1. Check atmospheric

pressure value and compare

with the actual pressure at

the location.

1. Check any damage of atmospheric pressure

sensor present in the ECU.

2. Check for atmospheric pressure value read from

ECU and compare it with the actual atmospheric

pressure at the location.

3. If the pressure at the location and pressure

measured by the ECU is not matching; replace the

ECU.

4. Confirmatory check after rectification ensures the

following before handing over to customer.

a) Atmospheric pressure value reads by the ECU

is = Boost pressure at ignition key is on.

b) Atmospheric pressure value reads by the ECU

is > Boost pressure when the engine is at idle.

c) Atmospheric pressure value reads by the ECU

is < Boost pressure when the engine is at fly-up.

Air Temperature

sensor supply –

vext.

No critical effect

AMF air temperature

sensor supply - reference

voltage fault.

1. Check for Reference

voltage1 fault or If P1100 is

present.

2. Check sensor connections

for rust dirt etc.

3. Check sensor

characteristics (measure

voltage and resistance at

sensor terminals).

4. Check Electrical continuity.

5. Check ECU.

1. Follow Reference voltage 1 check and

rectification Procedure.

2. Clean the sensor connections and ensure proper

fitment.

3. Sensor voltage should be 5 V and resistance as

given is specifications. Replace sensor if found

faulty.

4. Follow Electrical continuity check procedure.

Replace/ Rectify Harness if required.

5. Replace ECU; if problem still persists.

No critical effect.

Coolant temperature

sensor supply - reference

voltage fault.

1. Check for Reference

voltage 1 fault or If P1105 is

present.

2. Check sensor connections

for rust dirt etc.

3. Check sensor

characteristics (measure

voltage and resistance at

sensor terminals).

4. Check Electrical continuity.

5. Check ECU.

1. Follow Reference voltage 1 check and

rectification Procedure.

2. Clean the sensor connections and ensure proper

fitment.

3. Sensor voltage should be 5 V and resistance as

given is specifications. Replace sensor if found

faulty.

4. Follow Electrical continuity check procedure.

Replace/ Rectify Harness if required.

5. Replace ECU; if problem still persists.
