2.1.4.6.2 COMPONENTS

A. VACUUM PUMP

Vacuum Pump supplies vacuum to Brake booster.

This unit is driven by the exhaust cam shaft.

For removal refer Engine overhauling section.

B. VACUUM RESERVOIR

The Vacuum reservoir is provided to ensure constant

vacuum pressure to the vacuum solenoid valve by

overcoming any fluctuations in the vacuum being

generated by the vacuum pump.

LOCATION

Vacuum reservoir is mounted on the firewall in the

engine compartment behind the battery.
