7. Place the synchro cone and then place the

fourth gear on it.

8. Place the spacer (input Shaft) on the fourth

gear.

9. Fit the rear end ball bearing using the tool

2702 5890 35 04 (Drift for rear hub inner

bearing outer race), such that the snap ring

groove is uncovered.

NOTE:

Measure the axial float using a dial gauge;

float should be within 0.2 ~ 0.4mm.

10. Heat the input shaft bush up to 52- 60deg.

Insert the bush on input shaft from front end

and ensure proper fitment of bush up to the

given collar.

7. LAYSHAFT ASSEMBLY:

A. DISMANTLING:

1. Hold the Lay shaft in a bench vice such that

the rear half side is on the top.

2. NOTE: To ensure that the gears/ splines do

not get damaged by the vice jaws, pad it with

wooden pieces or any other softer material.

3. Remove the rear end ball bearing using the

puller tool (Tool No. 2834 5890 2604 PULLER

FOR REMOVAL OF REAR BRG. FROM

INPUT SHAFT & LAYSHAFT).
