8.0 TRANSMISSION CONTROL UNIT (TCU)
REMOVAL AND RE-FITMENT ON BENCH:-
Transmission Control Unit Overview:
Precautions:
1. The pins of the ‘Transmission Control Unit’
connections and sensors must be protected
from accidental contact (hands, tools, etc.) to
avoid electrostatic discharges and mechanical
damages.
2. Arrows shows ‘Transmission Control Unit’
connections pin and gasket (white colour).
Must be protected from any accidental
contacts especially metal tools) that could
damage the gasket itself.
3. Absolutely do not handle the ‘Transmission
Control Unit’ using the two sensors pivots
marked by circle in the image below.
4. Always handle the ‘Transmission Control Unit’
(when possible) keeping it from lateral sides,
without touching the gasket, as shown on the
image below.
