Flow error.

M

1. Loss of power

2. Black smoke

3. EGR is disabled.

This DTC gets logged if the

1. EGR air error is more

than the min/ max value.

2. Damaged hose

connecting EGR - EVR to

EGR valve.

1. Check EGR valve for

mechanical stuck issues.

2. Check vacuum hose

connections.

3. Check vacuum hose

condition.

4. Check blockage in air inlet

circuit - inlet manifold; air

filter.

5. Check correctness of

software in ECU.

6. Check Vacuum pump

efficiency.

7. Ensure battery voltage is

more than 13V at engine idle.

8. Check for proper

functioning coolant

temperature sensor (coolant

temperature sensor related

faults).

1. Check EGR valve for mechanical stuck issues;

Ensure proper vacuum line connection match

between vacuum pump; EGR modulator and EGR

valve.

2. Check continuity between ECU pin 45 and EGR

modulator connector as per circuit schematic; follow

electrical continuity check procedure. Check

whether the EGR modulator is getting power

supply. Replace/rectify harness if required. Please

note EGR vacuum lines to be treated as electrical

wires. Any puncture on EGR vacuum tubes will

result in P0400 error. It's just like electrical wires

getting grounded.

3. Check for Air intake system clogging.

4. Ensure EGR solenoid valve is functioning; and

P0489; P0490 DTC's are not present.

5. Ensure Vacuum pump is generating sufficient

vacuum.

6. Ensure Filter in the EGR modulator is present

and not clogged.

4. Check continuity between Inter mediate

connector to EGR - vacuum modulator connector

as per circuit schematic (for power supply)...

5. Check vacuum hose connections and condition;

Ensure that vacuum hoses have no leaks or

damages; replace if required.

6. Check blockage in air inlet circuit - inlet manifold;

air filter; Remove any blockages in intake circuit if

present.

7. Check and ensure correctness of software in

ECU.

8. Check for any AMF sensor related faults; correct

the AMF problem if present.

9. Check Vacuum pump efficiency; if problem

noticed replace with the new vacuum pump.

10. Ensure battery voltage is more than 12V at

engine idle.

11. If problem persists replace EGR modulator

12. If problem still persists replace EGR valve

13. If problem still persists replace AMF sensor.
