1.8 ENGINE OVERHAULING (ON OVERHAUL
STAND)
A. ENGINE DISASSEMBLY
I. Removal of Intake Manifold
1. Keep the engine on bench suitably.
2. Remove the hose connecting Cylinder head
cover to Intake manifold.
3. Remove all the hoses between purge valve
and the intake manifold.
4. Remove the mounting bolt of the purge valve
and take it out.
5. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts and
remove the electronic throttle body.
6. Remove all the support brackets mounted on
the intake manifold.
7. Loosen and remove the mounting bolt and
remove the temperature pressure sensor
mounted on the intake manifold.
