Is connector
faulty?
1. Unlock tailgate.
2.Check continuity between BCM connector
pin
[C1-17]
and BCM ground
[C1-34/C1-47]
.
Continuity
found?
1. Remove Tailgate Unlock actuator.
2. Perform visual check of connector for pins bend or damaged etc.
Actuator faulty?
Check if tailgate unlock signal input is
short to ground
Continuity
found?
Check the continuity between the two terminals
of tailgate unlock actuator
Continuity found?
BCM ECU faulty
Replace BCM ECU
1.Actuator faulty.
2. Replace tailgate unlock actuator.
Correct tailgate unlock actuator side
wiring harness.(Short to ground)
Correct connector
fault(Terminals bend)
Correct BCM side wiring
harness(Short to ground).
Correct connector
fault(Terminals bend)
