TRANSMISSION

Selector Shaft & Lip Seal removing

procedure:

1. Lift the vehicle & drain the transmission. See

Fluid Drain & Oil Pan Removing Procedure.

2. Remove the Oil Filter. See Oil Filter –Lip Seal

removing procedure.

3. Remove the valve body. See Mechatronic

Removing Procedure.

4. Loosen and remove the Hexagonal M8 screw

of anchoring bracket.

NOTE:

Make sure Gear shifter lever which is fitted in

driver cabin is in park mode by shifting lever

towards front of vehicle.

5. Properly locate the fixture plate (Part No:

2870 5890 26 21) in removed hexagonal M8

screw of anchoring bracket hole and gear shift

lever assembly with Across Flat area of pivot

pin as shown below. Then again insert the M8

screw and give 2kgfm of tightening torque.

6. Release the torque of Hexagonal M12 thin nut

of Pivot pin.

WARNING:

Do not bend the shift cable when opening the shift

linkage adjustment nut.

7. Remove the manual shaft pin and discard.

8. Remove the detent lever pin and discard.

9. Remove the manual shaft and discard

10. Install and push Puller shifter Shaft oil seal

(287058902614) tool on the selector shaft

seal then turn to pull it out.

11. Discard the seal.
