Shift Linkage Adjustment Procedure.

NOTE:

The vehicle is supposed to be on hoist,

transmission

protections

removed

and

transmission selector in Park position.

1. Loosen and remove the Hexagonal M8 screw

of anchoring bracket.

NOTE:

Make sure Gear shifter lever which is fitted in

driver cabin is in park mode by shifting lever

towards front of vehicle.

2. Properly locate the fixture plate (Part No:

2870 5890 26 21) in removed hexagonal M8

screw of anchoring bracket hole and gear shift

lever assembly with Across Flat area of pivot

pin as shown below. Then again insert the M8

screw and give 2kgfm of tightening torque.

3. Release the torque of Hexagonal M12 thin nut

of Pivot pin.

WARNING:

Do not bend the shift cable when opening the shift

linkage adjustment nut.

4. Discard the lock washer.

5. Insure transmission selector and selector

lever in Park position –P – (see illustration).

6. Install NEW lock washer.

7. Tighten the shift control linkage adjustment

nut to tightening torque 40-45 Nm
