lever in its position when tightening to avoid
any play.
WARNING:
Do not bend the shift cable when tightening the
shift linkage adjustment nut
8. Lower the vehicle.
Important Note:
Point 9 to 11 are to perform with brake pedal
pressed.
9. Inspect the operation of the cranking system
with the shift lever in each position. The
engine should only crank when the
transmission selector is in the Park or Neutral
position.
10. If the transmission selector is stuck or hard to
remove from the Park position or there is a
high effort, the linkage may not be adjusted
properly. Re-adjust as necessary.
11. Ensure that the transmission selector
positions align with the gear indicators on
dashboard.
16. Lift the vehicle.
17. Set up the lock washer lugs.
