45. For gear shift lever fitted on shift shaft

(Transmission shaft) by using M10 nut and

across flat arrangement on shaft and tighten

the nut with hand.

NOTE:

Make sure gear shifter lever assembly in park

mode by rotating lever in front direction.

46. Insert the anchoring bracket and the fixture

plate (Part No: 2870 5890 26 21) with the help

of Hexagonal M8 screw along with Anti

rotation screw for fixture during tightening.

47. Properly align and intact the gear shifter cable

in anchoring bracket slot.

48. Insert the gear shifter cable end – (Trans end)

in the pivot pin hole.

49. Refit the shifter cable transmission ends to

the tightening torque 2.2 to 2.5 kgfm without

damaging the shifter cable rubber parts.

50. Tightened the Hexagonal M12 thin nut to

torque 4.0 to 4.5kgfm.

WARNING:

Do not bend the shift cable when opening the shift

linkage adjustment nut.

51. Then remove the M8 screw for removal of

fixture plate and then give the tightening

torque 2.0 to 2.5kgfm M8 nut.
