REAR AXLE

FITMENT

1. Install the new inboard oil seal along with the

shaft guide on the seal pressing dolly

(Part No.

287058903501).

2. Apply the uniform Sealant Layer inside the oil

seal bore.

NOTE

Use Anabond A-676 or 3M sealant.

3. Locate the inboard oil seal into the Bore and

press fit the same with hammer blows on to

the dolly

(Part No. 287058903501)

from nylon

mallet. Fit the other end oil seal with same

procedure

4. Insert the axle shaft

(Spline end)

through shaft

guide and push axle shaft in as far as possible

while aligning the brake assembly bolts with

banjo beam flange holes. Engage the splines

of axle shaft in the carrier section and push

further.

9. Install the nuts and tighten the same. Apply the

torque of 75 to 85 Nm (4Nos).

5. Ensure correct shaft

(LH and RH)

inserted on

correct side.

NOTE

LH side Axle Shaft can be identified by Groove

Mark on the Spigot face

6. Install brake disc and tighten the screw.

7. Install the parking brake cable, brake hoses

and other attachments on the axle assembly.

8. Install the rear caliper assembly at both ends.

9. Fit the rear wheels.

C. DIFFERENTIAL CASE

REMOVAL

1. Support the vehicle on two post lift and remove

tyres from rear end.

2. Drain the oil from the rear axle.

refer differential oil draining process.)
