13.4 ON VEHICLE REPAIRS

A. REAR AXLE

REMOVAL

1. Mount the vehicle on two post lift and remove

tyres from rear end.

2. Disconnect the brake lines from the mounting

bracket which is next to the silencer.

(For

procedure refer brake section).

3. Disconnect hand brake from both ends.

(For

procedure refer brake section.)

4. Remove the wheel speed sensor.

(For

procedure refer wheel speed removal in

electrical section).

5. Disconnect the antiroll bar from the ball joint

assembly by loosening the Nyloc nut. Follow

the same procedure at the other end also.

CAUTION

Make sure that before loosening the Nyloc nut

one should use Allen key (5mm) to hold the ARB

link ball stud otherwise it may damage the ball

joint.

6. Support the rear axle and remove the propeller

shaft.

(For procedure refer propeller shaft

removal process).

7. Disconnect the upper link from the rear axle by

removing the mounting bolt. Follow the same

procedure at the other end also.
