FRONT AXLE - 4

ASSEMBLY

Install brake disc on a soft - jaw vise.

Assemble the hub and brake disc and secure with

five bolts and lock washer.

Torque bolts to specified value.

Assemble outer bearing cup using dolley to press

cup in hub (outer) Pt. no. 2704 5890 3303.

Assemble inner bearing cup using dolley to press

cup in hub (inner) Pt. no. 2704 5890 3304

Pack the inner spindle and the outer bearings with

specified grease.

Mount the spindle suitably.

Assemble spindle needle bearing using Dolley to press

needle roller bearing spindle Pt. no. 2704 5890 3327.

Drive the bearing until the tool bottom out against

the spindle.

Note :

Make sure that the bearing number on the

race are placed against the tool.

Assemble the spindle to steering knuckle. Tighten

the sin nuts to specified torque.

Assemble new hub seal.

Assemble the bearing to the spindle using. Dolley

to press bearing cone in spindle. Pt. no. 2704 5890

3320.

Apply grease to bearing assembly to spindle, if

required.

Mount the hub and brake disc assembly suitably.

Assemble the spindle assembly onto hub and brake

disc assembly.

Note :

Small amount of rocking motion of steering

knuckle may be required.

Assemble the packed outer bearing onto spindle.

Assemble inner wheel bearing adjusting nut.

Note :

Ensure that the lock pin is towards outside

(tool side).
