4. VEHICLE POWER MODE

BCM operates various power modes of the vehicle and communicates same to all the other controllers in the

vehicle based on the functional requirements.

4.1 BATTERY SAVER FUNCTIONALITY

4.1.1 Description

The battery saver feature shall disconnect the inadvertent load from the battery after the elapse of pre-

configured time or if battery voltage falls below pre-configured level.

BCM shall control the battery saver function to save the battery of the vehicle from getting discharged to

such an extent that the vehicle cannot be started. If the user forgets to switch OFF any of the interior lights

then BCM shall switch off the lights by switching OFF the battery saver output.

BCM shall control & switch OFF the following interior lights by switching OFF battery saver output Inputs &

Outputs:

Roof Lamp

Spot LED

Door Pocket LED

Foot well LED

Sun-visor Lamp

Glove Box Lamp

Puddle Lights

Spot Lamps

Reading Lights

4.1.2 Conditional Requirements

The battery saver feature shall disconnect the inadvertent load from the battery after the elapse of

preconfigured time or if battery voltage falls below pre-configured level.

Following are the loads which shall be getting OFF

Roof Lamp

Spot Lamp

Luggage Space Lamp

On Fault –

BCM logs the DTC against the battery saver output.
