4.4 Vehicle Power Mode Management

4.4.1 Description

Vehicle power mode management has the following power modes:

Awake

Key IN

Accessory

Active

Start / Crank

RUN

4.4.2 Conditional Requirements

Awake Mode –

BCM shall enter into ‘Awake’ mode on receiving any wake up input (ignition key is outside the ignition barrel

& no accessory delay mode is active) & shall stay in ‘Awake’ mode as long as stay-awake conditions are

true or pre-configure ‘Awake mode’ time (1 minute) elapse.

‘Awake mode’ time (1 minute) is a time for which BCM stays in ‘Awake’ mode though there is no stay-awake

conditions.

After the Awake mode, BCM shall have a fixed pre-standby time delay (7 seconds) before it enters into the

‘Standby’ mode.

Key IN Mode –

BCM shall identify the vehicle power mode as “KeyIN” when ignition KeyIN signal is active and no accessory

delay mode is active.

Accessory Mode –

BCM shall identify the vehicle power mode as “Accessory” when ignition Key IN signal is active AND/OR

ignition ACC signal is active.

Active Mode –

BCM shall identify the vehicle power mode as “Active” when ignition IGN signal is active.

Start / Crank Mode –

BCM shall identify the vehicle power mode as “Start/Crank” when ignition CRANK signal is active.

RUN Mode –

BCM shall identify the vehicle power mode as “RUN” when ignition IGN / CRANK input is active and

“EngSpd” above 600 RPM detected.

4.4.3 Operating Voltage Range
