3. WIPER & WASHER

3.1 FRONT WIPER LOW SPEED/ HIGH SPEED/ MOMENTARY

3.1.1 Description

Front Wiper is used for wiping raindrops on the windshield to increase visibility while driving. It is also used

to remove dirt on the windshield in conjunction with a washer pump. The wiper and washer combi switch

shall have a wiper control dial and a washer switch. Wiper control dial shall have following positions, i.e. off,

five intermittent positions (auto wipe if rain sensor available), low speed, high speed and flick wipe.

3.1.2 Conditional Requirements

Activation –

• IGN is ON

• Front Wiper Low Speed switch is activated or

• Front Wiper High Speed switch is activated

Deactivation –

• IGN is OFF or

• Front Wiper Low Speed switch is deactivated &

• Front Wiper High Speed switch is deactivated

On Fault –

Mid BCM logs respective DTC.
