G. VACUUM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM :

Vacuum Lines Schematic Layout :

Description :

The Vacuum management system is provided for

controlling / operating the plunger of variable nozzle

turbocharger. The Vacuum pump provides vacuum /

negative pressure to the EVRV and brake booster.

The NRV and brake booster helps in vehicle per-

formance viz uninterrupted acceleration through

gears after repeated brake stops. The brake booster

is mounted on firewall.

The Vacuum system consists of the following com-

ponents.

1. Vacuum pump.

2. Electronic Vacuum Regulating Valve (EVRV).

Components :

A. Vacuum Pump :

The vacuum Pump supplies vacuum to the turbo-

charger (WG) through EVRV. This unit is driven by

the intake cam shaft.
