TANK PRESSURE VALVE (TPV)

REMOVAL

1. Remove the tank first.

2. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the pipe.

3. Remove the TPV from the clamp.

CAUTION

Be careful not to damage the vapour line

pipe. If found damaged replace it.

INSPECTION

1. Check tank pressure valve for crack or damage.

Replace if any damage is found.

2. When air is smoothly blown from the tank unit

side it should pass through the valve.

3. Similarly if air is smoothly blown from the open

end side it should pass through the valve.

4. If air does not pass through valve in step 2 or

hard blows are required in step 3, replace tank

pressure valve.

WARNING

Do not suck air through tank pressure valve.

Fuel Vapour

inside

the valve is harmful.

FITMENT

1. Fit the TPV in the clamp such that the open side

(orange side)

faces the rear of the vehicle.

2. Connect the vapour line to the Tank unit side

(black side)

and fix the clamp.

CAUTION

Do not kink/pinch or twist hose when they

are routed.

filter.

FITMENT

Follow the reverse order of removal for fitment.

The fuel filter should be replaced as

recommended in the service schedule. If

this is not done, it may result in impurities or

particles entering the High pressure system

causing damage to the Fuel Injection

components.
