NOTE

It is recommended to replace clutch disc with

cover assembly as a set for any of the above

mentioned defects.

Also it is recommended to replace the

concentric slave cylinder assembly as a whole

with throwout bearing if the bearing is damaged

or worn out.

5. Check the bearing for damage or abnormal

noise.

! CAUTION

Prior to installing a new clutch disc, check for face

run-out and straighten, if required. Ensure that the

clutch facing material is not contaminated with oil

or grease as this shall result in clutch slipping.

C. FITMENT

For fitment follow the reverse order of the removal

procedure, using the Clutch Mandrel. However,

following care must be taken during installation.

1. Clean friction face of flywheel by dry clean

cotton and check for cracks, scoring, burn

marks or unevenness. If there are any defects

replace he flywheel.

NOTE

Do not machine the flywheel.

2. Check bearing in crank shaft (pilot bearing) for

free rotation. Replace sticky / damaged

bearing. OR Fit new bearing. Lightly apply

grease (3% MoS2) on the disc splines and

pilot bearing inner dia. (wipe out excess

grease).

3. Install SAC assembly (Before installation

ensures that the disc face stamped with ‘Gear

Box side’ mates the pressure plate face).

Press aligning mandrel through the SAC

assembly on flywheel by locating the front end

of the mandrel in crankshaft bearing (pilot

bearing).

4. Locate SAC assembly on flywheel dowels;

align its mounting holes with tapped holes in

the flywheel.
