N. EXHAUST MANIFOLD
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery
cable.
2. Remove the engine cover (Refer to 09 -
Engine/COVER, Engine/Removal and Installation).
3. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly
(Refer to 22 - Tires and Wheels/Removal and
Installation).
4. Remove the right front wheelhouse splash shield
(Refer
to
23
-
Body/Exterior/SHIELD,
Splash/Removal and Installation).
5. Remove the upstream exhaust temperature
sensor from the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)
(Refer to 11 - Exhaust System/SENSOR, Exhaust
Temperature/ Removal and Installation).
6. Remove the upper oil indicator tube bolt (1).
7. Remove the bolt (1) and the oil indicator tube.
8. Remove the lower exhaust manifold nuts (1).
9. Remove the upper exhaust manifold nuts (1a)
and the exhaust manifold.
10. Remove and discard the gasket.
11. If required, remove the exhaust gas
temperature sensor.
FITMENT
1. Using a NEW gasket, install the exhaust
manifold (1a). Tighten the NEW upper nuts (1b) to
the proper (Torque Specifications).
