14. Remove the hydraulic lifters complete with
rockers (1).
15. Remove the bolts (1a) and the cylinder head
complete (1b)
16. Remove and discard the cylinder head gasket
(1).
17. If it is necessary to disassemble any of the
remaining components, refer to (Refer to 09 -
Engine/Cylinder
Head/
Disassembly
and
Assembly).
18. Clean the bottom of the cylinder head from old
gasket residue.
NOTE
If the flatness of the bottom of the cylinder head
does not fall within the required limit, correct not to
exceed the minimum height allowed.
19. Check that the flatness of the bottom of the
cylinder head is within the prescribed limit.
FITMENT
NOTE
The centering bushes between the crankcase and
cylinder head are shorter (12.5 mm) compared to
those between the cylinder head and cylinder head
cover; so be careful not to reverse them as it may
impair the efficiency of the engine.
1. Install the cylinder head centering bushing into
the engine block, gearbox side.
