6.3.
Automatic Transponder key learning with Immobilizer
Applicability: This process is carried out when the immobilizer unit is replaced on vehicle.
Pre-requisites
1.
Virgin immobilizer.
2.
E- Keys (Max 2 nos).
3.
Immobilizer connected on vehicle.
Key learning procedure
Automatic E key learning process starts, when Ignition is changed from “OFF to ON” and it is
complete within 0.5seconds for one E key.
1.
Insert the new or 1st E- key in the ignition switch barrel & switch On ignition
2.
When learning process starts & immobilizer is learning the key, Immo status lamp is On
for
0.5seconds
.
3.
The Status lamp turns off, once learning of that E key is successful & Immobilizer is ready
to learn another transponder key.
4.
After the first E key is learnt, switch off the ignition & immediately insert second E key &
switch on the ignition again
5.
E Key will learn automatically as per steps 2&3.
6.
After the second E key is learnt, switch off ignition for some time (e.g. 30 sec.)
7.
Switch on Ignition for “Reading E key learning status” through diagnostic tester & ensure
it is 2, which indicates both keys are learned successfully
