U0140-08:- Lost communication with Body Control Module- Message Timeout Failure

Customer Symptom

Reduced climate control functionality and performance

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Reduced climate control functionality and performance

Lamp Status (If Any)

1) The lost communication with BCM DTC is in active state in fault memory.

2) The HVAC outputs (motors and compressor request signal) should be functional

using default data values

3) CAN communication should be normal but BCM node message should

disappear.

4) The lost communication with BCM DTC is in passive state in fault memory.

5) The HVAC outputs (motors and compressor request signal) should be respond to

the panel request.

6) CAN communication should be normal.

Fault Detection Condition

1.

BCM connector is not connected properly or disconnected from its

location.

2.

CAN Stub wire from IPC connector side is disconnected.

3.

BCM ECU is not powered up.

Normal Operating

Condition

BCM ECU communicates properly with TML diagnostic Tool.

Probable Trouble Area

Disconnection of the BCM connector

Healing Condition

To fix the BCM connector correctly and Fix the wiring harness issues from IPC side.
