B1F37-23:- Max. Defrost Request Button-Signal Stuck Low

Customer Symptom

Max. Defrost Request Button cannot be manually

selected

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Max. Defrost Request switch is stuck and air

distribution mode is not changing to defrost mode

Lamp Status (If Any)

If panel was in Max Defrost state prior to Key jam

detection, then the panel will continue to remain in

Max defrost state until any user interventions. To

change the air-distribution settings, user can press the

manual mode setting button.

If Key Jam(Stuck) is cleared, Max Defrost will be

activated with single Max Defrost key press.

Fault Detection Condition

Max. Defrost Request Button -Signal Stuck Low

Normal Operating Condition

Max Front Defrost Request push button shall be used

to manually switch the air distribution to defrost

mode and clearing/defogging the front windshield

Probable Trouble Area

Max defrost switch component failure.

Healing Condition

Check and lubricate switch, replace control panel

Component Details:

Max Front Defrost

switch Button is shown in above image.

Max Front Defrost Request push button shall be used

to manually switch the air distribution to defrost mode

Preliminary Checks:

Switch On the IGN & perform the following check.

1) Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code

2) If the fault code exists, refer the corrective actions
