Customer Symptom

Fresh Air / Recirc Request Button Button cannot be

manually selected

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

The Fresh Air / Recirc switch is stuck and air inlet door

is not changing it state.

Lamp Status (If Any)

Manual recirc condition is over ridden by auto recirc

condition except for HI/LO and defrost conditions.

If Key Jam(Stuck) is cleared,RECIRC will be activated

/deactivated with single RECIRC key press.

Fault Detection Condition

Fresh Air / Recirc Request Button -Signal Stuck Low

Normal Operating Condition

The Recirc request push button allows the user to

manually choose the position of the air inlet door, as a

manually selected two state function, the air inlet

door will be either fresh air (Fresh) or in-cabin

recirculation (Recirc).

Probable Trouble Area

Air inlet switch component failure.

Healing Condition

Check and lubricate switch, replace control panel

Component Details:

Fresh Air / Recirc

switch Button is shown in above image. The user shall be able to

choose the position of the air

inlet door by pressing Fresh Air / Recirc Request Button.

Preliminary Checks:

Switch On the IGN & perform the following check.

1) Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code

2) If the fault code exists, refer the corrective actions
