OVERHAULING

PRECAUTIONS

Do not use hammer to drive in the oil seal and

bearing. Use special tools for assembly.

Use a Torque Wrench to tighten threaded parts.

Always tighten the parts to the specified values.

Lubricate bearings, oil seals, bushings and

matching metal parts before assembly (with oil).

DISMANTLING

A. REAR YOKE

1. Drain the oil and tighten the drain plug.

2. Position the Transfer case on repair fixture/

work table

. Please

ensure rubber sheet is placed on the table.

3. Holding the yoke by yoke holder

(Part No

287058902601)

, loosen and remove the locking

nut and take out the washer.

4. Remove the yoke with the help of puller.

5. Remove oil seal from the shaft.

B. REAR COVER ASSEMBLY

1. Remove harness bracket.
