26. Align the main shaft, counter shaft and drive
shaft along with respective shifter fork and
place this assembly together on intermediate
plate.
27. Apply the Grease
3% MOS2 SS6820
and
place the gasket over the housing parting
surface. Align the dowel pins, place the
gearbox housing – Front half over
intermediate plate and tap gently with mallet.
28. Lock the intermediate plate and gear box front
housing with lock nuts (2 No’s) as shown in
figure.
29. Tighten the hexagonal screw of counter shaft
bearing lock to the 9 kg-m torque.
NOTE:
Double locking is done by pushing the 1
st
/ 2
nd
and
3
rd
/ 4
th
shifter shaft in upward direction.
30. Place front gear case cover for locking the
drive shaft and tighten the nuts temporarily.
