23.8 OVERHAULING

A. FRONT HVAC UNIT

REMOVAL

Coolant will be present in the heater coil, so carefully

tilt the HVAC unit and collect the coolant in an ap-

propriate container to avoid it spilling onto the

technician.

1. Loosen and remove three mounting bolts and

separate the blower from the assembly.

2. Loosen and remove two mounting screws and

take out the recirculating actuator.

3. Loosen and remove four mounting bolts and take

out the air inlet duct.

4. Loosen and remove mounting screws and take

out the casing along with the recirculating flap.

5. Remove the wire mesh.
