INSTALLATION

Following are the procedures for the installation of Roof

AC unit on the vehicle :

Before installation check for the proper electrical

functioning of Blower motor and solenoid of the

Roof AC unit.

ii.

Roof unit mounting brackets are to be clamped

rigidly on the unit.

iii. All the four side trim mounting brackets are

also to be clamped in their appropriate location

on the unit using suitable hardware. Insert Spire

clips on the other end of al the brackets.

iv. Before mounting the unit, ensure that

recommended roof insulations are fixed above

the headliner in location as instructed for the

purpose of reduction in heat load and as well

for better side trim fits & finish.

Mount the unit on the weld nuts provided in the

roof bow using studs and tighten it using the

nuts to the recommended torque level.

vi. Mount the side cover trim mtg. brkts on the cant

rail.

vii. Insert both the liquid and suction pipes to their

respective ports provided on the Roof AC unit.

Ensure that axes of both the pipes are aligned

properly to avoid O-rings damage & tighten the

connectors to the specified torque.

viii. Insert the drain tube (long) in between B pillar

inner & outer panels of both the sides (LH &

RH) through the cutout on cant rail. Fit the

grommet properly in this cutout to avoid cutting

of drain tube. Take the other end of drain tube

out through the grommet in the hole in the sill

inner panel.

ix. Clamp the tube liquid at the top of b pillar inner

panel.

Do the earthing of Roof AC unit by inserting

the eyelet in to the weld nut provided on cant

rail.

xi. Fit the B pillar trims & then side cover trims

using snaps & hardware specified.

xii. Recharge the system

Dismantling procedure is exactly as per above

points done in reverse order.
