DISMANTLING OF 486 PL ENGINE :

Engine on stand

Drain off residual coolant from block and head.

Removal of AC Compressor :

Remove Cap

and loosen the nut

Relieve AC belt tension by rotating tensioner screw

in clockwise direction. Fig. 18

Remove AC belt

Remove AC compressor from its bracket Fig. 19
