If you see above screens, park assist is
malfunctioning due to external conditions.
Please rectify as specified on the screen.
8.28.11 Park Assist Limitations:
Park Assist System only assists the driver
by giving audible and visual alerts while
reverse parking the vehicle. It is not a 100%
collision avoiding system. It is completely
driver’s responsibility to park the vehicle
safely.
Park Assist feature works using ultrasonic
sound echo technology. Due to which Park
Assist performance is not guaranteed in
following scenarios
a. If object have very sharp edge surface, where
surface may divert echoes from sensor
reception.
b. If object is mesh fence made up of thin wires,
where echoes can’t be given by the surface.
c. Fast moving objects passes in the sensor field
of detection, where echoes are not processed
by the system.
d. If object is made/covered by foam or sponge or
snow where ultrasonic sound signals are
absorbed.
e. Sensors covered by mud or external material,
by which ultrasonic signals are either not
transmits or receives properly
There might be blind spot in Park Assist
field of detection close to the rear bumper,
where object might have detected once in
any of the zone, may miss from the sensor
field of detection later. In this case, smaller
objects like flower pots, kurb stones, pets or
children may not be detected in Yellow or
Red warning zones. It’s solely driver
responsibility to park the vehicle safely. It is
highly recommended to verify through
rear/side mirrors of the surroundings before
do the reverse parking.
Due to any reason, If sensors come out
side of bumper or lost its intended fitment
position, please do the re fitment.
If rear vehicle height is more than the
radiation lobe of ultrasonic signals, then
detection is not guaranteed.
8.28.12 Park Assist System maintenance:
1. Regularly clean sensors located on the
bumper. Use smooth cloth or material which
can’t make any scratch on the sensor. Don’t
apply heavy force while cleaning.
2. Don’t flush water on sensors with heavy
pressure. This will damage sensor.
3. Don’t apply external colors, styling stickers,
chewing gums, or any material which will stick
on the sensors. This will degrade park assist
performance.
4.
Don’t put any spare tyre or foot rest or number
plate which will cover sensor surface.
