PRECAUTIONS FOR HANDLING THE TURBO-

CHARGER

Do not lift the turbocharger by holding the actua-

tor.

Do not lift turbocharger holding the rod end.

Do not lifting turbo-charger holding the compres-

sor side.

Hold the turbo-charger at the turbine housing

/center housing.

No foreign particles

(dust/dirt)

should enter the

turbocharger.

Ensure the conditions of handling and installation

of turbocharger/manifold are such that there is no

risk of shocks, dropping the turbocharger or dam-

age to the sealing surfaces (turbine housing inlet

and outlet surfaces, compressor inlet and outlet,

oil circuit), or damage to the actuator or flow ad-

justing rod and screw which might lead to the

misalignment.

Handle the turbocharger carefully and ensure that

it is not dropped.

FITMENT

Fill oil in centre housing of turbocharger before

assembly

For fitment follow the reverse procedure of re-

moval.

NOTE

Use new gasket and sealing washer every time

and tighten bolts to specified torque.

Check that the sealing washers are fitted on the

oil feeder line at the time of assembly.

SYMPTOMS / CAUSES

REMEDY

Bearing system failures / oil leaks

1. Move the shaft with finger and look for excessive

axial play.

2. Look for any scoring marks of wheel on housing.

3. Look for any traces of oil leaks on compressor

housing

Gas Leaks

Look for any Bolt Loosening

For further trouble shooting, use diagnostic tool.
