6. Loosen the mounting bolts of wheel cylinder

assembly and take out wheel cylinder assembly.

WHEEL CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

Removal from vehicle

1. Removewheel (s) (Refer wheel removal procedure/

Wheels and Tires group)

2. Remove brake drum (Refer Front/Rear BrakeDrum

assembly removal procedure)

2. Remove brake shoe assembly. (Refer Front/Rear

Brake Shoe assembly removal procedure)

3. Attach a transparent (vinyl) bleed tube to the bleed

screw having first removing its rubber dust cap.

4. Unscrew the bleed screw 1/2 to 3/4 turn and pump

out the brake fluid in a suitable container by

operating the brake pedal. Remove the bleed tube.

5. Disconnect brake pipe from wheel cylinder

assembly.
