BRAKE SYSTEM

ASSEMBLY OF TMC

CAUTION:

Ensure that dismantled TMC child parts are clean and

free from any mineral oil and dust.

If a Minor Repair Kit is being used to rebuild the

TMC assembly, follow the procedure as given

below:

1. Remove the snap fit return spring of secondary piston

and remove the primary seal.

2. Cut the secondary seal on secondary Piston taking

due care not to damage the piston.

CAUTION:

Never use connector or sharp pin kind of tool, it may

damage seal seat on the piston.

3. Mount the well lubricated secondary seal on the

piston, with correct orientation of secondary piston,

secondary seal, and take care there is no kink on the

leap of the seal. While refitting the secondary piston,

primary seal, ensure the fitment of the safety washer

behind the primary seal.

4. Insert the well lubricated with fresh brake fluid,

Secondary Piston Assembly (10) into the bore, with

the spring end leading in to the cylinder bore. Care

must be taken to guide the seals into the bore, hence

avoiding any damage to the seals.
