BRAKE SYSTEM
INSTALLATION ON VEHICLE
1. Install wheel cylinder onto brake back plate and
tighten two mounting bolts to specified torque.
TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR WHEEL CYLINDER
MOUNTING BOLTS = 0.8 - 1.2 Kg-m
2. Connect brake pipe to wheel cylinder. Tighten the
brake pipe nut to specified torque.
TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR BRAKE PIPE NUT = 1.4 -
1.6 Kg-m
CAUTION:
Over tightening of bleed screw leads to breaking of
screw which may cause to replace a wheel cylinder
assembly.
3. Install rubber dust cap taken off from brake pipe to
bleeder plug.
4. Refit brake shoe assembly. (Refer Front/Rear Brake
Shoe installation procedure)
5. Top up brake fluid to correct level and do the brake
bleeding. (Refer brake bleeding procedure)
6. After completion of all jobs press brake pedal 3 to
5 times so as to obtain proper drum to shoe
clearance.
7. Adjust parking brake cable. (Refer parking brake
adjustment)
8. Mount wheel(s) and tighten wheel bolts to specified
torque.
TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR WHEEL BOLTS = 8 - 8.3
Kg-m
9. Remove supports and lower the vehicle.
