8.7 CIGAR LIGHTER
To use Cigar lighter, press the button on the knob
and wait 15 seconds, after that button returns
automatically to its initial position and the cigar
lighter is ready for use.
The cigar lighter device comprises a power socket
on which the cigar lighter heater coil is fitted.
Instead of the cigar lighter device, the socket can
be used to supply power to the equipment which
operates on 12V.
! CAUTION:
Handle lighter carefully to avoid injury. If lighter
does not pop out, remove it to avoid
overheating.
Avoid smoking inside vehicle, it may spoil
inside ambience, interiors etc.
LOCATION:
It is fitted on floor console gear shifter bezel
assembly.
REMOVAL:
1.Remove Floor console gear shifter bezel
assembly (
Refer body section).
2. Disconnect the electrical connection of cigar
lighter.
3.Pry out the Cigar lighter from the floor console
gear shifter bezel.
REFITMENT:
1.Locate and fit (
snap fit
) the Cigar lighter in the
cutout of floor console gear shifter bezel
assembly.
2.Connect the electrical connection to the Cigar
lighter.
3.Fit the floor console gear shifter bezel assembly
(Refer
body section)
.
INSPECTION:
Take out the heater unit and check for worn
edge on the element spot connection. Also
check for spread of tobacco or other material
on the element.
Using multimeter, check the resistance value
of element, it should be 1.7 ohms
