Circuit Short to battery or
Open
Water in Fuel sensor Analog input SC to
battery.
-
1.
Check whether the EMS ECU Water in Fuel sensor signal pin
A08 is short circuited to battery supply due to wrong wiring
harness connections, if so then rectify the wiring harness
connections to make them inline with circuit schematics.
2.
Check the continuity between the water in Fuel sensor pins
A08, A48 to the Water in Fuel Sensor Connector pins 1, 2. In
case of lack of continuity due to improper wiring harness
connections, establish the continuity by rectifying wiring
Harness connections as per the circuit schematic.
3.
Check sensor for oxidation, rust etc, if observed clean deposit.
4.
Check for rust/dirt accumulated on the sensor connector, if
found clean the connector and refit it.
5.
If still problem persists then replace the Water in Fuel Sensor.
6.
If still problem persists then replace the EMS ECU.

Circuit Short to Ground
Water in Fuel sensor Analog input SC to
Ground.
-
1.
Check whether the EMS ECU Water in Fuel sensor signal pin
A08 is short circuited to Ground due to wrong wiring harness
connections, if so then rectify the wiring harness connections
to make them inline with circuit schematics.
2.
Check sensor for oxidation, rust etc, if observed clean deposit.
3.
Check for rust/dirt accumulated on the sensor connector, if
found clean the connector and refit it.

General Electrical failure
This fault is a group fault for WIF Sensor
Fault.
-
Check whether DTC's - P2267 or P2266 are also logged. Rectify
P2267/P2266 by following their rectifying procedure which also
clears this fault.

Signal Plausibility failure
This fault gets logged when the vehicle
speed signal provided by Sensor is
implausible.
1. Disable the AMF sensor
learning~2. Disable the AMF
plausibility test~3.Disable Cruise
Control
1.
Check whether the EMS ECU Vehicle speed sensor signal pin
B27 is short circuited to Ground/Battery due to wrong wiring
harness connections, if so then rectify the wiring harness
connections to make them inline with circuit schematics.
2.
Check the wiring Harness continuity between the sensor pins
B27, B 21 to Vehicle speed sensor connector pins X, X. Check
whether the Vehicle speed sensor is getting Ignition supply.
3.
Check sensor for oxidation, rust etc. if observed clean deposit.
4.
Check for rust/dirt accumulated on the sensor connector, if
found clean the connector and refit it.
5.
If still problem persists then replace the Water in Fuel Sensor.
6.
If still problem persists then replace the EMS ECU.~
