Configuration

This DTC gets logged due Injector C3I

values are not learned for injector

cylinder 1 to EMS ECU.

EMS ECU takes following recovery

actions:~

1.

Engine Will not Fire.

2.

Disables the BRC reading and use

estimation for injector pulse

duration instead of reading for inj

Cylinder 1

3.

Disable the BRC reading and use

estimation for injector pulse

duration instead of reading for

injector cylinder 2.

4.

Disable the BRC reading and use

estimation for injector pulse

duration instead of reading for

injector cylinder 3.

5.

Disable the BRC reading and use

estimation for injector pulse

duration instead of reading for

injector cylinder 4.

6.

Disable Pilot & Post injection.

7.

Disable RVD (Rail Valve

Discharge) on injector Cylinder 1.

8.

Freeze IMV current trim fault

(f_m_im_ctrl_qlo &

f_m_im_ctrl_qhi).

9.

Increase idle target.

10.

Disables cylinder balance

correction, diagnostics and tooth

learning strategy.

11.

Apply specific idle target for limp

home.

12.

Disables PWC strategy (Pilot main

waves compensation).

13.

Disable SPC (Speed Pilot Control)

strategy, no more SPC (Speed

Pilot Control) trim update.

1.

Rewrite the C3I values of the Injector cylinder 1 to EMS ECU by

respecting power down and up delay.

2.

Check electrical continuity between ECU to main power hold

rely connector as per circuit schematics; Follow electrical

continuity check procedure. Replace/rectify harness if

required. Check ECU pins and connector pins for damage/rust.

In case of rust then clean them and refit the connector.

3.

Check whether the main relay control pin of EMS ECU is Open

circuit/short circuit to Vbatt. In case any short circuits/open

circuits are found then rectify wiring harness connections.

4.

If the problem still persists then replace EMS ECU.
