H. ENGINE OIL FILTER

NOTE

Following a complete replacement of the engine

oil, update the "change engine oil" function in the

specific engine Control Module using the

diagnostic tool.

NOTE

Minimize skin contact with engine oil. Engine oil is

harmful to the skin. In case of contact, wash with

soap and water.

1. Raise and support the vehicle (Refer to 04 -

Vehicle

Quick

Reference/Hoisting/Standard

Procedure)

2. Remove the belly pan (Refer to 13 - Frame and

Bumpers/Under

Body

Protection/BELLY

PAN/Removal and Installation).

3. Remove the cap and insert a suitable drain hose

onto the fitting (1) on the oil filter housing and drain

the oil filter housing.

4. Remove the engine oil filter cover (1).

5. Remove the oil filter element (1) from the oil filter

cover.

6. Remove the O-ring (2) from the oil filter cover.

INSTALLATION

1. Install a NEW oil filter element (1a) engaging the

retaining clips (1b).

2. Install a NEW O-ring (2) on the oil filter cover.

3. Install the oil filter cover and tighten to the proper

(Torque Specifications).

4. Remove the drain hose used for oil recovery and

install the cap on the fitting.

5. Refill the engine lubrication system with the

proper quality and quantity of engine oil (Refer to

04 - Vehicle Quick Reference/Capacities and

Recommended Fluids/Specifications).

NOTE

In the table is shown the amount for periodic

replacement.
