17. Remove the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)
(Refer to 11 - Exhaust System/FILTER, Diesel
Particulate/Removal and Installation).
18. Remove the flywheel (Refer to 06 - Clutch/
FLYWHEEL/Removal and Installation).
19. Remove the bolt (1) and the oil vapor recovery
hose.
20. Remove the oil pan bolts (2).
21. Using a suitable tool cut the sealer and remove
the oil pan (3).
22. Remove the oil pump intake connector gasket.
23. Clean the residual sealant from the oil pan and
engine block sealing surfaces.
FITMENT
1. Install a NEW gasket seal onto the oil pump
intake.
NOTE
No interruptions in the bead of sealant.
2. Apply a bead of silicone sealant to the oil pan.
NOTE
During assembly of the engine oil sump careful not
to damage the bead of sealant.
NOTE
Complete assembly operations within 10 minutes
of applying the sealant.
3. Install the oil pan and tighten the bolts (1) finger
tight.
4. Tighten the oil pan bolts (1) to the proper (Torque
Specifications).
5. Install the oil vapor recovery hose and tighten
the bolt (2) to the proper (Torque Specifications).
6. Install the flywheel (Refer to 06 -
Clutch/FLYWHEEL/Removal and Installation).
7. Install the clutch assembly (Refer to 11 - Exhaust
System/FILTER, Diesel Particulate/Removal and
Installation).
8. Install the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) (Refer
to 11 - Exhaust System/FILTER, Diesel
Particulate/Removal and Installation).
9. Install the battery tray (Refer to 08 -
Electrical/Battery System/TRAY, Battery/Removal
and Installation).
10. Install the engine cover (Refer to 09 -
Engine/COVER, Engine/Removal and Installation).
11. Install the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Refer to
21 - Transmission and Transfer Case/Power
Transfer Unit/ Removal and Installation).
12. Install the right side half shafts (Refer to 03 -
Differential and Driveline/Half Shaft/Removal and
Installation).
13. Install the left side half shaft (Refer to 03 -
Differential and Driveline/Half Shaft/Removal and
Installation).
14. Install the front suspension crossmember
(Refer
to

Frame
and
Bumpers/Frame/CROSSMEMBER,
Front
Suspension/Removal and Installation).
15. Fill the transmission fluid (Refer to 21 -
Transmission and Transfer Case/Manual, C514 -
5-Speed/FLUID/ Standard Procedure).
