Trouble Shooting:-

B163F – 23: Tailgate Unlock switch – Signal Stuck Low

START

Connect Diagnostic tooland check for DTCs

Is DTC B163F -23

present?

STOP

Check DTC present is Permanent or Historic

Is History?

1. Press the Tailgate Unlock switch and release it.

2. Clear DTC

Is DTC B163F -

23 present?

YES

Disconnect vehicle battery connection.

(Pleasefollow the safety guidelines)

Check BCM and Tailgate Unlock switch connectors

for terminal back out.

Are connectors loose?

Reconnect connectors firmly

YES

1.Remove BCM side wiring harness Connector.

2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged etc.

YES
