Customer Symptom
Tailgate Unlock Switch does not operate.
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Tailgate Unlock Switch does not operate.
Lamp Status (If Any)
N.A.
Fault Detection Condition
This fault gets logged by BCM; if signal stuck low
condition is detected for Tailgate Unlock Switch.
Normal Operating Condition
If the tailgate is locked and Tailgate Unlock Switch is
press then BCM shall immediately unlock the tailgate.
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault.
2. Internal Unlock switch input wire Short to ground
from cockpit wiring harness.
3. Switch damaged or stuck
4. BCM ECU fault.
Healing Condition
1. Ignition OFF
ON
2. Clear DTC Command
Component Details:
If Tailgate Unlock Switch is press then BCM shall provide the unlock pulse on electrical tailgate output
pin and tailgate shall get unlock accordingly.
Preliminary Checks:
2. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above)
3. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
