B2501- 12: Horn Relay - Circuit short to Battery

Customer Symptom
Horn always OFF
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Horn always OFF
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
Fault Detection Condition
This fault gets logged by BCM when horn relay output is
shorted to battery.
Normal Operating Condition
Mis-lock sound is occurred and all doors are locked
when driver door is closed and other door is opened and
pressing RKE locks switch.
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector wired wrong
2. Cockpit harness wire shorted to battery or open
circuit
3. Relay damaged.
Healing Condition
1. Ignition OFF
ON
2. Clear DTC Command
Component Details:
Mis-lock sound is occurred and all doors are locked using horn relay when user press RKE lock switch.
Horn relay is active low.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
