B160F - 11: Driver Door Lock Signal - Circuit Short to Ground

Overview:

B160F - 11

Customer Symptom

No Unlocking action happened on operating the vehicle

unlock.

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Driver's door locks and will not unlock

Lamp Status (If Any)

NA

Fault Detection Condition

This fault will be logged after the input switch test

routine execution. User has to operate the switch

manually during routine. If short to ground fault is

detected for Driver Door Lock Signal, then this DTC

code will be returned with the Routine results.

Normal Operating Condition

There should not be any fault returned by routine

Probable Trouble Area

1. BCM connector Fault

2. Right side wiring harness short to ground

3. Actuator is damaged or stuck or faulty

4. BCM ECU fault

Healing Condition

1. Ignition OFF

ON

2. Clear DTC Command

Component Details:

Driver Door Actuator, BCM connector

Functionality:

If the Driver door Actuator is Short to Ground, then the Driver door is in lock state.

If the Driver door Actuator is locked, then BCM shall receive the feedback of Driver door as Lock status.

Preliminary Checks:

1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)

2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
