START
Connect Diagnostic tool and Run Input Test Routine and operate the
switches as mentioned in the input switch test routine specification.
Is DTC B1601 – 12
logged by Routine?
Disconnect vehicle battery connection.
(Please follow the safety guidelines)
Check BCM and Bonnet switch connectors for
terminal backout
Are connectors loose?
1.Remove BCM Connector.
2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged.
Is connector
faulty?
Check continuity between BCM connector pin [C4-4] Harness
side) with battery [C3-2/C3-1]
Continuity
Found?
1. Remove Bonnet switch
2. Check continuity between BCM harness side connector pin [C4-4] and
Bonnet switch [C103A-1]

Reconnect connectors firmly

Perform the visual check of connectors for pin bend or

Check continuity at Bonnet switch [C103A-1] with
ground [C1-34/C1-47]
