2.5 Part Replacement Strategy

Part Replacement Strategy

–After Part Replacement, if there is any Software mismatch and user tries to

operate HU without performing software update (even though it is mandated at Dealer end), then HU should

prompt user to update software.

Example:

SB BP DISP

Pr e-Condition v2.0 V2.0 V2.0

Same SW ver sions for all

After 2 yrs BP

replaced in field

v2.0

v2.5

V2.0 SB should prompt user to update softw are in field if user tries to

operate SB w ithout performing softw are update after part

replacement

SB should maintain its binding software versions of BP and DISP compatible to it (as all 3 SW versions and

ISO version follows same numbering, SB will check its SW Version number against BP, DISP for

compatibility)

• SB should prompt user to update software in HMI when there is a mismatch in

compatible versions.

• For this SB should performSW compatibility check every time Infotainment system

turns ON

.
