Automated Manual Transmission

New Actuators:
The guidelines of the procedure are illustrat-
ed below:
When?
After replacing KIT
After replacing clutch selection and/or en-
gagement solenoid valve
Why?
The objective of the routine is to force the
solenoid valve leakage to values which cor-
respond to those of new solenoid valves.
What tools are needed?
Diagnosis equipment
NOTES:
The procedure takes approximately 5 se-
conds. Power latch takes approximately 15
seconds. The procedure must be requested
with engine off and key on. To store the val-
ues in the ECU requires the key to be
extracted and the power latch to end.
Deleting statistical data
The guidelines of the procedure are illustrat-
ed below:
When?
Clutch unit replacement
Kit replacement
Replacing the gearbox
Button panel replacement
Steering wheel levers replacement
Replacing the pump
Replacing the accumulator only
Pump relay replacement
Resetting statistic data
Why?
Failure to carry out the procedure will not
affect system operation.
The following counters describe the history
of each single component, which is why,
when replacing a component referred to
above, it is necessary to zero or reset to de-
fault values the set of associated data. The
information in the following counters can
also identify the number of operations and
faulty conditions in which the system was
found when an error was validated.

TCU control unit replacement procedure
The guidelines of the procedure are illustrat-
ed below:
When?
This procedure must only be run after re-
placing the TCU.
Why?
Failure to carry out the procedure will not
affect system operation.
The following procedure allows the sys-
tem's history to be conserved (gearbox and
kit) transferring data from one TCU to an-
other.
This operation is possible if the services
necessary for its execution are not affect-
ed; i.e. if the TCU to be replaced does not
give the possibility of reading the data, the
procedure will not be able to be carried
out. As mentioned, in this case the system
operation is not affected.
If the TCU and any other component sub-
ject to the data set deletion procedure are
replaced at the same time, the data rec-
ords of the component to be replaced must
be deleted before copying the REWRITABLE
